Hey all,

I'm building my girl a gaming PC, I was looking over EVGA's suggested memory recommendations for their B360 mATX board, all of the recommendations were sets of 4GB. Would I be fine using Corsair Vengeance 2666 (CMK16GX4M2A2666C16) , OLOy (MD4U082616BGDA) or any other 2x8GB DDR4 sticks? The recommended supported RAM list seems limiting to say the least

Parts acquired thusfar:

CPU: i5-9400f
Mobo: EVGA B360 112-CS-E365-KR
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB DDR5

Thanks in advance!

QVL's are literally just kits the manufacturer has tested.

On the Intel side of things, compatibility is usually pretty straighforward. Not saying there won't possibly be any issues, but chances are pretty good things will just "work".

Just to make sure you know that that B360 board will most likely need a BIOS update to support the i5-9400F?

Yep! I'm prepared to update the BIOS, I snagged the board on clearance for $50 still sealed and figured I'd deal with the update
