Yes it should be fine. I'd stick to getting RAM thats rated and tested to run at the speed you want. So stick to 3600 IMO.

Just make sure you get 2 modules from the same pack. So a 2x8GB single pack if you're going 16GB

Doesn't OC mean that it doesn't support RAM that comes at 3600 natively, but only say if you used 3200 and OC it to 3600?
No. It means the board itself doesn't RUN at 3600 natively. But this would be the case on every motherboard. To achieve higher speeds, you have to enable the overclock in the BIOS on any board.

So it means you plug in 3600 RAM, then tell the BIOS to run it at 3600 as rated.

Otherwise it will only run at default speed which will be the highest natively run speed or JEDEC standard of 2133 until you tell it otherwise.

You can indeed buy lower clocked RAM and overclock it beyond its rated speed, but when RAM is rated at 3200 it means its not been tested beyond that, and wasn't specifically designed to run beyond that, so it can (not always) come with complications.

But yeah every board you look at will likely state anything above 3200 as OC as it doesn't run those speeds by default.

But wherever you see XXXX (OC) it means that RAM speed is supported, you just have to manually tell the BIOS to run at that higher speed.
