Hello, I am a newb when it comes to computer builds, I am also new here..
So I built a PC a while ago with mobo the ASUS H110m-c. I bought two separate kits of these RAM's (model is: HyperX - HX421C14FB/4). When I tried to start the computer, it couldn't boot with the two sticks inserted but with the one of them it could. Both sticks are functionable and both of my mobo slots are also functionable.
After some research on the ASUS website I found this list of RAM's (http://), I guess mine can't run in dual channel, or do I need some kind of update on the BIOS to make it work? Not really sure.
Also, in case any update won't work, could you recommend another 8GB stick that could run with my current one and/or (don't really care) one that, if I put it in, I can also upgrade with the same one in case I want to have 16GB?
So ultimately I am looking for 12GB that includes one of my old sticks and a new 8GB one OR 8GB of new RAM that can later be upgraded to 16GB without me having to deal with the same uncompatibility (is that a word?) problem. (If I can update and use both my sticks, I will prefer that solution)
Thanks in advance, this is my first time here so I don't really know if this is already answered or if I am asking for too much.

Before doing anything stupid should the DRAM RAS# ACT time be set to 32?
Default settings were 14-14-14-35 1.2, need to make sure I need to change just the ras# act time and the voltage so nothng "bad" happens.
