Hi,

I'm Looking forward to purchase the ASUS H97-Plus ATX motherboard and confused on the type Ram i should purchase, please recommend!

I did check the QVL & thought of

G.SKILL Sniper F3-1600C9D-16GSR 16GB (8GBx2) 1600MHz
Tested Latency 9-9-9-24-2N

G.SKILL RipjawsX F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL (8GBx2) 1600MHz
Tested Latency 10-10-10-30-2N

Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengeance (8GBx2) 1600MHz
Tested Latency: 10-10-10-27

also do advice if the 8gb x 2 is a good idea? or should i purchase 4gb x2?

if for light gaming then 8GB is sufficient. but if the price difference is not much, just get 16GB. practically, the different brands and even speeds make little difference in real life, just go with the manufacturer that you have most experience with.

I have no experience with Gskill and Corsair Ram. I'd play Battlefield 4, Guild Wars 2, CS GO, FIFA & DOTA 2

You mean a single 8gb Corsair ram for the H97 plus? that's possible?
Even thought it has a 'Dual Channel Memory Architecture'? Please explain if possible
(I guess i need to research more before i jump into purchasing)

Go with the Snipers, the 1600/9 are better than both the Corsair or the RipJaws Z that are running 1600 with a slower CL of 10, it's not a major difference performance wise but it is a bit of an increase. Also 16GB will last longer, if you were to go with a single 8GB sticks as mentioned above, trying to add more (even with the same exact model can be and often is problematic.

There are already games that call for 8GB and games due out the call for 12 GB, so a bit shortsighted to go 8GB.

No. You want a 2x4GB kit with two sticks so you can take advantage of the dual channels.
