RAM Compatibility Question

Hello, I currently have a Del XPS 8700 with 12 GB of RAM installed. I would like to upgrade to the max of 32 GB. My question is scan says that I have UDIMM RAM. can I goto best buy and buy this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/pny-2-pack-8gb-pc3-12800-ddr3-dimm-desktop-memory-kit-green/5429106.p?id=1219650452869&skuId=5429106 and use it in my system? thanks for the help guys

Yes. That should work. Dell XPS 8700 supports up to 32 GB. 4 x 8 GB. That link is for a 16 GB kit (2 x 8 GB). So you will need two 16 GB kits.

But before purchasing, you can find out if any of the existing is an 8 GB RAM or if you already know they are not 8 GB + 4 GB configuration, then 4 x 8 GB is required. Cause if one of them is a 8 GB, then you only need to buy 3 x 8 GB.
