Hi there,
System spec:
ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution and Xeon X5660
8GB (2x4GB) Hynix HMT451U6BFR8C-PB DDR3-1600 (Running 1333 as motherboard doesn't support higher than this without manual overclocking (don't know enough about overclocking to do this) or XMP profiles (RAM is not XMP capable) ).

Current RAM timings:
CL 9
RCD 9
RP 9
RAS 24
RC 33
RFC 179
RRD 5
WR 11
WTR 6
RTP 6
FAW 21

I want to add another 2 modules and wanted people's opinion on adding the modules with the following timings:
CL 9
RCD 9
RP 9
RAS 24
RC 33
RFC 110
RRD 5
WR 11
WTR 6
RTP 6
FAW 21

Will they work correctly if I leave my BIOS on automatic timings or will that RFC (Labelled in BOLD) being different cause issues?

Solution
I got some ddr3-10600e and it worked a treat! Thanks everyone.
To clarify, Asus P6T6 WS Revolution motherboard, xeon x5660 and ddr3-10600e ram in 2Rx8 format works perfectly 🙂

Im pretty sure that the BIOS/UEFI will automatically down clock the faster ram to match the slower ram. So yes you should be perfectly fine, if you do start to experience issues check out this thread on here i found.

http://

only reason i say you will be fine is cause i'm running different speed ram myself and i haven't experienced any issues with it yet.

All in all though you should be perfectly fine

Further to this question:
Give my motherboard/CPU configuration, I am trying to find out if my board will take ECC Reg ram but I can't seem to verify 100% whether it will work or not. Some places I find say it will, ASUS wont give me a straight answer and nobody seems to know the answer. Can anyone here advise?

what is the model number of your mobo? and ill see what i can find out for you.

Hi aaron_90.
Its the ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution coupled with a Xeon X5660 CPU.
Ive googled it no end of times and keep getting conflicting answers so i decided to give it a go installing some tonight anyway. If it fails, i can always resell the RAM on eBay. Lol
I will past results tonight.

The ecc reg ram didnt work but that might possibly be because it was 2rx4 and registered. Research has shown that people who have Used ecc ram have used 2rx8 unregistered, not registered. So i am testing that theory tomorrow.
I will update when i can confirm it.
