Question RAM compatibility question

Hey there again,

I was writing here a couple of weeks ago regarding my new build. Now I have purchased all I needed, and my new system has arrived. However, I am now a bit confused about the RAM speed and whether I made a right purchase (since I am not a pro here). So basically this is what I have:

AsRock X370 Killer SLI
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz C15 XMP 2.0

Now the question - in the manual of the MOBO, there's a tab saying something about MAX frequencies of RAM. If I understand this correctly, it supports max 2667Mhz RAM. Check the picture link below. View: https://imgur.com/jMoMaGo

However, online (https://asrock.com/mb/AMD/X370 Killer SLI/index.asp#Support), it says something about 3000Mhz. My question now is - can I safely install this RAM into the MOBO? Is there anything special I need to be aware of?

Thanks for your help!

It's probably just been on the shelf for a long time or something, an X370 will run 3000 no problems, but you'll probably need a BIOS update on a first-gen Ryzen chip to be able to run your second-gen Ryzen chip and for better memory support as well.

2700X
Processor core: Pinnacle Ridge
Supported Memory: 2933MHz with two single rank modules

Your manual shows specs for Summit Ridge. AM4 processor Series 2000 models such as the 2700X have an improved memory controller over earlier 1000 Series processors. This allows the next higher memory clock speed to be officially supported.

Users of that motherboard say to manually set memory clock speed, DRAM timings, and DRAM voltage:
