[SOLVED] Ram Compatibility Question

Hi all,

I'm new here, so I really appreciate any help you may be able to give. I generally hate adding hardware because I always seem to run into problems, so I thought I would start this time by asking questions first.

I want to add some RAM to to my CyberPowerPC model C series PC. I need to get the most bang for my buck, because not sure when the next time my wife will let me spend money :) It would be for gaming and for PhotoShop.

My motherboard is an Msi B360M BAZOOKA: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B360M-BAZOOKA/Specification

The 8GB piece of RAM that I have in there currently is in slot 2 and is: Team T-force Vulcan 8gb 288-pin Ddr4 2400 Desktop Memory #TLRED48G2400HC14BK

I want to plug in the most RAM that I can get for ~$200, thinking 32GB. If possible, also want to keep the 8gb stick that's already in there as well. The motherboard specs say I can run 2666/ 2400/ 2133 MHz RAM and I have 4 DIMM slots.

Most of the decent RAM that I can find seems to be around 3000 MHz, and if that's compatible with my motherboard, pretty sure it'll slow the RAM down to 2666 MHz, which I'm fine with. Also, I seem to be finding a lot of UDIMM type RAM, which I'm unsure about compatibility with my current 8gb DIMM.

I haven't worked with ddr4 yet and don't know how much of an issue this would be, but your motherboard supports 32gb modules so your max is actually 128gb. If you want 32gb, you could just spring for a single module and then sell your 8gb one. That would give you the memory you want now, and leave a nice upgrade path in the future.

Luckly, MSI has a nice memory compatibility page, which is easy to read and search and sort, and there are 5 different 32gb modules that work:
