I bought this from Frys Monday; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220693 plus a new video card (7850). So I installed both while taking out my old stuff, turn it on.....no video and it seems to not be booting up, do some troubleshooting and it turns out the RAM is causing the issue. I leave a 4 GB stick in and try to boot it up with no success and reinstalled my old 2x 2GB sticks it boots up fine.
So the RAM isn't compatible with my motherboard? I thought my motherboard (because it SHOULD be within specs) would be able to handle it but I guess not, maybe the voltage is too much I suppose. Is there a way to make it work or should I just go ahead and get a new/better mobo? Here is my old RAM just to compare, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231193 and my motherboard; http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/asus_m4a88tdv_evo_usb3/6.htm.
My OS is Windows 7 64-bit by the way.
