My PC list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CPnjPs
I’m trying to get the cheapest 3200, 14 CAS Ram for my build, but it isn’t on the QVL list for my mobo: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/PRIME_X370-PRO/PRIME_X370-PRO_Memory_QVL_20170704.pdf
While scrolling through the list, I saw the same memory except it was 16 CAS. Is that a sign that the RAM I’m going to get will eventually be compatible? I want to get the most optimal build, but I don’t want to pay the premium for 14 CAS if it isn’t even going to work. Is it still worth picking up?

Solution
That's the risk you take when you buy OC RAM.
3200MHz RAM is OC RAM so they may not work at their rated speed out of the box. You will have to manually enter Primary Timings and Voltage in Bios with no guarantee and a Bios update is also recommended.

Just make sure you can return them if you can't get them to work at their rated speed.
