I am confused as a lot of people are making a big deal out of the ram capacity of the FX-8350 AMD CPU. Everyone seems to have a different opinion on what it can handle and what's compatible and so i'm just...lost and confused and have no freaking idea.

So. I'm wanting to get the AMD FX-8350 CPU and install four sticks of DDR3 1600 ram. ( 4 x 4gb)

Is that compatible?

Also, am I able to add additional sticks of the same speed with no problems in the future?

Solution
For 16GB, 2x8GB is a better choice if mobo supports it, less stress on the MC (memory controller), over and above 1600 is possible depends on the individual CPU and generally takes some DRAM and/or MC voltage adjustments

Yeah the mobo is compatible with both the CPU and RAM. Kind of just solved it myself aha so if anyone reading this has the same problem, I have the solution!

So the memory speed cap on the FX-8350 is about 1866, anything higher will be clocked down automatically so installing anything faster than that is a waste and can mess up the way your system runs. On a dual channel board 4 x 4gbs or 4 x 8gbs of 1600mhz ram will run beautifully.

People really need to get better at explaining things, I think most of the time they focus too much on using fancy terms and sounding like a genius.

Over 1866 is possible actually if mobo supports it actually. I run low latency 2133 myself and it was detected properly on installation with no adjustments in bios required but I am running the Crosshair formula V - Z mobo also.

i am running fx 8350 at 4.8mhz corsair vengeance 32gb at 2400mhz i change the the volt on cpu to 1.46vlt and increase nb to 2600mhz it seems stable and my mb is amd killer so is possible but not sure if it will get unstable as for now is super fast machine

well,it will get unstable as for now is super fast machine.thanks

Crosshair formula V - Z mobo is the way to go pair that mobo with vengeance 32gb 2400mhz and you are set with a powerful machine.
