Question RAM compatibility with Asus Prime B450 Plus

Hello everyone im looking to buy 16 gb of ram to pair it with R7 2700x on Asus prime B450 plus board.

Ryzen benefits from higher speed ram so im looking to get 2x Kingston HyperX Predator RGB HX432C16PB3A/8 @3200mhz.

But from what I've read there were ram issues not able to run at 3200mhz and downclocks with Ryzen. Can anyone tell me if this specific Ram model can be runned with R7 2700x on Asus Prime B450 Plus or do i need to find a specific ram model to be able to run it at 3200mhz or change my MB overall?

Consult their QVL list for tested modules.

As DLoT said above, the QVL list will insure whatever memory is listed will work.

But that is not to say that your HyperX Predator RGB memory won't work. It is all down to how good your memory controller is. Most Ryzen chips can run 3200mhz without a hitch on almost all models of RAM, but some cannot. Then there are others that need a small bump in memory controller voltage to run 3200mhz.

Had that RAM but no lights, worked fine at 3200MHz Cl14 (even managed Cl12) on my setup. CPU can run 4000Mhz+ so no worries there, only MB and BIOS, make sure you have latest BIOS with latest AGESA code.
