[SOLVED] Ram compatibility

My Specs:
Q9650 3.0ghz
500watt seasonic psu
2*4gb Gskill ripjaw ddr3 1333mhz
mobo p5p41t le
My problem is I bought ram n mobo recently. mobo is brand new while the rams are used. One of the ram stick isn't working ( my guess due to compatibility ). the working stick model is 2011 and the non working one is written 2016.
the things I tried
cleaned with paper, petrol, eraser
installed lastest bios of mobo
Changed slots
placed one ram at a time
When I put 2016 model ram I get no display on monitor n keyboard as well. there's also no beeps.

I don't see much else to do but try different RAM.

If the RAM 2016 does not work when installed on its own I think it is most likely faulty.

However even if the RAM works on its own there are no guarantees it will work without issue with the 2011 RAM. RAM is only guaranteed to work together if bought as a matched kit.
