RAM compatible with motherboard?

I am trying to upgrade my RAM and since I made a similar mistake before, I'm going to ask some professionals. Is this this memory card compatible with my ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0 motherboard? Also, does the RAM I'm purchasing need to be compatible with the RAM already installed in my PC? Thank you!

You linked SODIMM RAM, which is meant for laptops. Although they do make converters you need regual DIMM RAM. Use pcpartspicker.com to help you find the best prices.

Although you can check to see if its compatible with your board there's no way to guarantee it will work with what is already in there.
