I have a new motherboard, cpu and ram on the way and I have a question about the ram configuration. As you can see from the list below, I already have 16 gigs of older/slower ddr4 and I'm also getting 16 gigs of new ram. Should I just toss the old ram or install both. If I install both, what should the configuration look like? Any issues with having two different speeds?

AMD - Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9 GHz 8-Core
Gigabyte - X570 AORUS MASTER ATX AM4 Motherboard
GeIL - EVO POTENZA 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2133 Memory (old ram)
Patriot - Viper 4 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3400 Memory (new ram)
EVGA - GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB Black Video Card
Phanteks - Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case
EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

I wouldn't use the old RAM unless you absolutely need 32 GB.
I think 16 GB is plenty for gaming.
Also....if you use the old RAM I think there's a good chance the MB will downclock all the RAM to 2133....and then what good is that new 3400 speed fast RAM?
