I currently have 24gb of ram (2x8gb@2133mhz + 2x4gb@2133mhz), I am looking to upgrade.

My motherboard is a ASUS Z170-P, which supports up to 3466MHz of DDR4 RAM.

I saw that Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 RAM is on sale for $80CDN.... would this give me better results with 16gbs than the 24gb does? Or should I just splurge and get 32gbs@3200MHz?

Going from 2133 to 3200 could actually be a pretty substantial increase in performance if it's in games or memory sensitive applications. Possible as much as 15-20fps difference depending on the game. I would suggest that if you are currently using close to or more than 16GB when playing games or other activities, you should buy a 2x16GB kit. 32GB is likely to...

I would suggest that if you are currently using close to or more than 16GB when playing games or other activities, you should buy a 2x16GB kit. 32GB is likely to be enough for quite some time and if you upgrade your motherboard and CPU, you can reuse the new faster ram.

You should be able to run at least DDR4 3600 or faster ram on your Z170 motherboard, but you likely won't see much benefit in games past 3600. If you can find a 2x16GB 3600 CL16 to CL18 kit for not much more than the 3200 kit, consider getting that instead. Avoid CL19 or higher at 3600 and CL18 or higher with 3200.
