I bought yesterday this pair of Ram: RipjawsX F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH (Dual Channel DDR3- 1333MHz 7-7-7-21 timings, 1.5Volts). I want to build a new PC with the following processors:
INTEL CORE I5-4670K or
INTEL CORE I7-4770K

and i would like to ask you if i wll have problems between Ram and CPU compatibility. I Choose GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD5H for Mobo. I want to know your suggestions.

Thank you very much.

Wait if your going to overclock you'll want 1866 at least for more stability. 1333 is great just not for over clocking. If your not video editing get the 4670k the i7 is a waste unless you're doing intense video editing

well the i7 is better for sure... it also costs a $100 more. new and future games are more and more using up to 8 cores.
the i7 is a quad core with hyperthreading, so essentialy 8 processing units. the i5 is just a quad core.

why did you choose the slowest ram available? most people when shelling out the big bucks for a high end machine will get 2400 ddr3 since it's not that much more.

in gaming, the faster ram will make 1 to 10fps difference. depends on if it's CPU intensive game or GPU intensive
in high end computing rendering/modeling, the difference will be very noticeable

No for gaming the i7 is NOT better. Most games will not use HT at all and some even need HT to be turned off. Games just do not use the fake cores that HT uses. Save the $100+ and put it into something else that your system could make better use of. The fact is the i7 is NOT a 8 core it is still a four core with 4 fake cores. For some things it will help but not gaming.

i am not using progs for video editing and i am not playing games any more some i think 4670K will be very good choice...

I will not play games because i dont have a lot of time that's for sure and if i could save some money in my pocket what else with this ram will fit together??? AMD's are good enough??? I never use AMD and i don't know anything...sometimes i will do video editing but not so intensive and sometimes i will use photoshop and some other adobe progs. And the most important overcloacking is not in my mind!!!

i will keep this in my mind thank you very much for you response.

I see...so the frequency of 1333Mhz would be a problem or make an unstable system? Otherwise for not an intensive use i will choose lower performance CPU native to 1333Mhz.
