That motherboard does not have good enough VRMs for use with 8 core FX processors, AND to make it worse, it also has no heatsinks on the VRMs. If you pair that processor with that motherboard you WILL have nothing but problems with heat and throttling.

You need a better board for that CPU. Any of these would be suitable. Keep in mind, these boards are getting pretty hard to come by, in fact, most any worthwhile AM3+ board is going to be either hard to find or expensive. If you haven't purchased any of this yet you'd be a lot better off buying an entirely new configuration with Ryzen parts. It really wouldn't be much more than that system WITH a good board would run.

(Be sure to check when looking for a motherboard that any of the models shown below are either 990fx, 990 or 970 chipsets. A Z170 Extreme6 for example, is not going to work with your FX processor, so, in this example, you want to look for the 990/990fx Extreme6.)
