Question RAM crashes PC

I bought a new pc with (2x4GB) and in the first place ram would crash my PC as soon as i boot windows,but when i switched slots it crashes once a day randomly.I ran some tests and it says the ram is okay,i tried runing memtest86 but it freezes and wont start.Can this damage my PC?And what should i do
