Question Ram - DDR2 - ACER

I have an Acer Extensa 5230E laptop that currently mounts a RAM

hynix 1 GB
2Rx16 PC2-5300S
555-12

I would like to ask if it is possible to mount this RAM taken from another Asus K50C laptop

Kingston 2GB
2Rx8 PC2-6400S
666-12-E2

It should work fine, if it does not start up as normal there is no damage just switch back.

They may not mix and match. But the 2GB by itself should work. It'll just downclock to whatever the motherboard supports.

Try it by itself. If it works. Add in the 1GB and see if they'll work together.
