Ram DDR2 good enough for gaming?

Ok, so I have an old 2011 PC rocking 6GB ddr2 @667 MHz, I just wanna ask if this speed effects gaming performance by a noticeable extent? If so whats the minimum RAM speed (Sticking to DDR2) should I have for gaming? Thanks!

Not before being limited by the cpu. Your major bottleneck will be your cpu and the quantity of ram not their speed.. The ram frequency will be a minor bottleneck.

With the games playable on a system that age, DDR2 doesnt make much of a difference; and even if it did, the upgrade to DDR800 wouldnt make more than (perhaps), a 1% difference.

My daughter plays Roblox and Project Cars on her DDR2 system without any issues, and Project Cars runs fast enough to keep her happy.

Cool! So I can pretty much not worry about the RAM speed, as it doesn't effect gaming.
