Nothing wrong with Patriot Viper3 Ram, but like any other Ram brand, they have better sticks and worse sticks. For the best performance you want CAS 9 or below. If you have Intel 3xxx series cpu or below you can use upto 1.65v Ram, Intel 4xxx series recommends 1.5v or below. For best guarantee of compatibility, always buy your Ram as a single unit, if 8Gb, then buy 2x4Gb sticks in same package, not 2 packages of 1x4Gb. Intel cpu's use a maximum of 1600MHz internal clock, so matching that means best performance for the amount of heat created. AMD uses 1866MHz better.
