Building a computer with a friend. We've gotten to the point of installing the RAM. Yes I made sure it was oriented properly and lined up with the nick in the slot. The motherboard only has locks on one side of the RAM slots, and it doesn't seem to go down.

When we push hard enough on the side with the locks for it to fit, we cannot push the opposing side into place and it is not flush with the board.

The mobo is a Gigabyte Z170X-UD5, and the RAM is Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400MHz.

Solution
You should be pressing on both sides of the RAM at the same time, even if one side doesn't have the locking arm. I just went through it on a new build last week. DDR4 is weird because the bottom of the RAM stick isn't even, but it still installs the same as any other RAM.
