I decided to increase my Thinkpad X230 RAM and took it out to check specs. Ever since putting it back I get 'boot RAM beeps'. Other RAM works and this RAM works in other Thinkpads. I've tried suggestions such as alcohol clean etc but no luck.
Any suggestions?
Additional..
Also reset CMOS battery

Solution
Reseat the RAM again. 9/10 times beeping after reinstalling RAM means it isn't seated right or the RAM isn't making proper contact inside the slot. It may take a few tries with some boards. It may take a little bit of extra force. If you have another RAM slot available, try it as well.

If that fails you can try cleaning the RAM slot as well with isoprobyl and a lint free cloth.

You can get your RAM specs with programs like CPUz as well.
