So I'm getting AMD FX-8350 for my gaming PC. Whats the best ram to get? and any different suggestions for CPU.

Solution
i would suggest an i5, for about the same price you can get an i5 4440, and if you can spend bout $30 more than the i5 4670. and 8gb of ram is a good amount, and speed doesnt really matter.
I just recently upgraded to the 8350 two days ago and it's outstanding. Ram-wise, I'd stick with low-profile DDR3 1600mHz. The top companies (Corsair i.e.) sell for the name/looks of the module. No difference in performance. I'm running 8GB now of Vengeance (gift) and I'm planning on getting 8 more. Turns out a system will become a RAM hog after about 300gb of use on the HDD.

Hope this helps!

Sorry, should be a bit more descriptive. My version of low-profile is something that's not "flashy" like the Vengeance. It's the same performance, just a different look and a 10$-40$ difference.

does the extra threads on the AMD CPU help though? it has more cache and higher overclocking speeds. I'll spend the extra 45 dollars for the Intel I just wanna make sure it's worth it.

No matter the task you're pulling off, you'll be able to do it. This'll last you anywhere between 4-8 years. Games are just getting bigger maps now. The intensity can't advance any further with 64-bit architecture.
