RAM for AORUS Gaming 5 z370

Hello! I've been out of the loop for a while on RAM speeds/timing, etc.. Here is my next build:

I'm going to use the AORUS Gaming 5 z370 with an i7 8700k.

I plan on air-cooling, and I don't plan on overclocking.

What RAM/speed would you suggest? I don't want to mess with XMP profiles and all of that, but I think the lowest the GSkill Trident Z goes is 3000(OC) (would that be ok to just set the XMP and forget it? I don't plan on overclocking).

All you need to do is go into BIOS and enable XMP for the RAM to run at the correct speed/voltage. As for which RAM to get I'd refer you to the RAM support list on the motherboard site to find a set that has been tested with that motherboard.

What is the z170 listed beside the RAM description? Does that have anything to do with the z370 chipset on the board?

Either of those should be fine. With that Intel cpu there will be little to no performance difference between them.

The Z170 mention is just old marketing.
