Looking for ram specs for dell xps mobo
E 93839 ordered 2gb dimm2 but it didn’t fit middle slot in wrong place.
Has 4 slots for ram?

Can you instead tell us what the model and SKU of your Dell XPS is?

You should take pictures of the rams you're working with including the one you ordered and then host said images on a site akin to Imgur, then parse the links for the images here for us to see.

DDR2 is what you need if this is the correct board. But at the same time Dell slipped in a DDR3 change on some of those boards. We need pictures like Lutfij suggested.

Okay a Dell 8700

If it's the Dell 8700 it's DDR3.

If I'm correct on the model go to amazon and get 8 x 4 DDR3 for 32 Gb's a cheap huge boost. But please confirm if it is indeed a Dell 8700.

For the sake of simplicity go to Dell like already suggested and take your Service Tag off your case and input it into the Dell search on there site.

With your Service Tag you will get a exact parts description of YOUR PC how it was configured when it left Dell.

As long as someone didn't come along and flip out the motherboard than you should have your answer.
