Hey all. I wanted to upgrade RAM for my laptop hp ProBook 4440s.
Info:
4 GB Ram
Intel i53230M
HD 4000
Windows 8 64 bit
1)I heard of something like "If you have 2 RAMs of same frequency(speed??) then its better". Please explain on this.
2)I wanted to add 4 GB more(total 8GB). Please suggest how this can be done>> Which company's RAM to buy or if there is some general guideline I can follow before purchasing the RAM itself.
3)I also wanted to know if upgrading to Windows 8.1 be good and if it will degrade the performance based on the configuration my laptop has? I use the laptop for light gaming(I know HD 4000 sucks) and movie watching.
4)Finally, would adding RAM and upgrading to 8.1 be worth it? Or is my laptop utterly useless and I should look for a better one? I'm having no problems with this one except for lack on gaming and would not be buying a new one unless this laptop is a piece of crap 😛
Thanks in advance!!
P.S. "RAMs" would imply 2 of those RAM rectangular things which go into the motherboard. Sorry I don't know the exact word for it
