Hello. I'm new.

I have an Asus P8P67 LE

4 x DIMM Máx. 32 GB, DDR3 1866(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/2200(O.C.)/1600*/1333/1066

And I will put hree an i7-2600K processor (D2 stepping)

I probably maintain the cpu in stock voltage.

The usage of the computer will be: virtualization under linux

I read that best RAM for OC are 1600Mhz, but I think I will not OC nothing (I THINK).

So my question is:

In performance terms for the computer, and with stock parameters of RAM and CPU.

Which RAM should I put for more performance? 1600 Mhz?? 2133Mhz??

I'm sawing the Kingston HyperX for 1600Mhz
And G.Skill Ripjaws X for 2133Mhz

Any more sugestions??

Thanks a lot

With 2133Mhz you will gain a litlle+ in performance but mostly in synthetic test. For normal users go 1600Mhz. If you wanna overclock your CPU with the new UEFI bios you can do just with a simple raise from the multiplier.

You will not notice performance increases with higher clocked memory.

With P67/Z68 chipsets, 1600MHz is sufficient. Just remember to get 1.5V.

Thanks to all.

I will purchase 1600Mhz RAM

> and if you really keep the 2600k @ stock voltage dont bother, grab the simple 2600.

but remember, actually you can buy 2600K at same price than a 2600

In 1.5V I have the same price between these, which you suggest me?

G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 16GB 4x4GB CL8
8-8-8-24
1.5 Volts

Corsair Vengeance PC3-12800 DDR3 1600 16GB 4x4GB CL9
9-9-9-24
1.5 V

And why not 1.65V of Kingston HyperX?

Thanks

I use the same memory. In BIOS, set OC to X.M.P for best results.

The Corsair is another alternative. I believe this is a little more expensive than G Skill (Here in Korea anyways).

And why not 1.65V of Kingston HyperX?

As mentioned, Sandy is rated for 1.5V. Using 1.65V can cause instability/damage to components.
