Hey guys this is my first time on the forumz here- but I'm a regular on Tom's Hardware. I'm a student and work at Best Buy, so i got the retail edge deal that I'm sure many of you guys have heard about by now. Like many 965 boards, the ram requirement are quite strict, and since theres no overclocking/ voltage tinkering options, I would like to get some Ram that posts @800mhz. The requirements on intel's website for the DG965wh board are as follows:
The board has four DIMM sockets and support the following memory features:
1.8 V (only) DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts
Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following restriction:
Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported.
8 GB maximum total system memory using DDR2 667 or DDR2 533 DIMMs
4 GB maximum total system memory using DDR2 800 DIMMs;
Minimum total system memory: 512 MB
Non-ECC DIMMs
Serial Presence Detect
DDR2 800, DDR2 667, or DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM DIMMs
DDR2 800 DIMMs with SPD timings of only 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 (tCL-tRCD-tRP)

I assumed that the one that is more expensive but doesnt have heat spreaders costs more because it has EPP. Although I won't be overclocking with this board, it might be a possibility in the future with a new mobo. Also I am more familiar with AMD boards, and I was wondering if i buy another kit later and put it in- will my RAM clock down to 2T? If anyone has this board what RAM are you using? Any suggestions/ comments are welcomed.
