I'm trying to get the best possible RAM (preferably a kit of 16GB in total) for Lenovo ThinkPad T480 with i5-8350U. What I've found so far:
1. 2x Kingston HyperX HX424S14IB/8 which is 8GB 2Rx8 DDR4-2400 CL14-14-14. But couldn't be found neither on used market nor brand new.
2. Kingston HyperX HX424S14IBK2/32 - a kit of 2x16GB 2Rx8 DDR4-2400 CL14-14-14. 32GB will be overkill + also isn't available.

Available options are:
1. Kingston HyperX HX424S14IB2K2/16 which is a kit of 2x8GB 1Rx8 DDR4-2400 CL14-14-14.
2. Kingston Fury KF426S15IB1K2/32 which is a kit of 2x16GB 2Rx8 DDR4-2666 but will work on DDR4-2400 CL14-16-16.
3. 2x Crucial CT8G4SFD824A which is 8GB 2Rx8 DDR4-2400 CL17-17-17.

What is the best all-round performing RAM out of those 3 available options? Is it possible that dual-rank module with CL14-16-16 or even CL17 will perform better than single-rank CL14-14-14?

Are there any other dual-rank 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-2400 kits with low timings?

At allegro.pl there is HX421S13IB2K2/16 with CL13
And in amazon.de there is a kit HX426S15IB2K2 / 16 with CL15
cl15 is very good latency look and HERE if you are from UA
The one from Poland with CL13 is 2133MHz. The Eldorado (Ukraine store) doesn't have them in stock. The one on German's Amazon can be purchased locally (#2 in "available" list, but it's 32GB which is overkill for me. Typical usage is 8 to 12GB) costs 1.5-2.5x more compared to used HX424S14IB2K2/16 and has worse timing, although dual-rank. The question is: Will dual-rank module with CL14-16-16 or even CL17 perform better than single-rank CL14-14-14?

Get the hyper x 2x8.
If you want to pick nits I think you will find single rank wins over dual rank.
