RAM frequency performence

Hi guys, so i have got a modest gaming rig. And i was wondering maybe i should change my rams. i currently use corsair value select 4gb x2 1333mhz rams and was thinking of shifting to maybe corsair platinum or vengeance. my question is will this effect my gaming performance or daily desktop usage.

Better, faster RAM will make a difference, but not a big difference. Of all the upgrades you can do, the RAM is probably the least bang for the buck. Maybe consider 1600 MHz if your system can use it, but spending a lot of money on faster timings is only for the final touches on a performance upgrade.

a Ram upgrade will only be really noticeable if you're using an apu

Not enough to make it worthwhile if only gaming, if going to 16GB and doing rendering, video, imaging, VMs, CAD or the like it would be well worth it

Thank you for the answers. I actually had spare money so i thought rams can be upgraded but since you guys say it doesnt effect performance I think i will pass. Spare money doesnt mean i should waste it well i guess i will just wait till october for games to come out and see whether my gpu needs upgrading.
