[SOLVED] Ram frequency

Everytime I go into bios to change my ram frequency my pc fails to post.
I have trident z 2 sticks of 8gb 3600mhz and a Ruben 5 2600 on a asus b450 mother board. What could be causing this? I just want to get the max out of my ram as possible

Only changing frequency? What about if you enable docp profile? If you are enabling docp profile, check it's setting dram voltage to 1.35v.

What could be causing this?

Overclock your ram manually. Step by step. 2933,3000,3200,3400,3600mhz. Test after each step.
There may be problems running ram at 3600mhz on your system.

Enable docp, it's there for a reason to adjust memory settings accordingly to the ram's specification. Timings, voltages etc.

Only went to 3200 instead of 3600 but it’s better than the default

That's about right using that processor.
