Greetings all,

Recently my faithful and rapidly aging GTX 570 coughed its last, thus I am looking to replace it with a newer model. Off the back of this unfortunate development, I have decided to address a fault I have long suspected of my RAM. I will not go into the details of said fault however, suffice to say I am confident of the components guilt.

Budgetary concerns being a considerable parameter, I'm eying up a GTX 960 as opposed to the 70. From what I have read, I understand this will still be a major upgrade. I am also considering 16GB of RAM in a dual configuration as this is more or less what is currently installed albeit at lower speeds.

As a general example of the pieces in question, these are basically what I am looking at.

Whilst I'm reasonably confident with their compatibility with my system, my hands-on experience is limited, thus I would be very appreciative of any input; i.e. whether the CPU will prove a bottlecap, the RAM speed is unsupported by the motherboard or the PSU doesn't have enough output cables etcetera.

My system specs (minus components to be replaced):

Motherboard - ASUS® P8Z68-V/GEN3
Processor - Intel i5 2500 (3.3Ghz)
PSU - CORSAIR 850W TX850 V2-80 PLUS® BRONZE
Harddrive - 2TB WD CAVIAR BLACK (7200rpm)
CPU cooler - SUPER QUIET 22dBA TRIPLE COPPER HEATPIPE (intel)

Any further information required I shall be happy to fulfill when I can.

Cheers & Adieu.
