Hello, Kind Community!
I have an Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R14 with 16GB of Asgard DDR4 3600MHz 8x2 RAM sticks. At first, it was running at 3466MHz, but then after updating BIOS and Windows 10 to 11... and in BIOS settings > Performance tab > Overclocking tab was locked/greyed out... I proceed to click on Optimized Defaults and rebooted my PC. After this, overclocking tab got enabled, but RAM has actually down clocked to 2400MT/s.
I tried out Alienware Command Center to look up for some tweaks and profiles if there is any XMP profile option is available, but sadly found nothing.
I tried to proceed with overclocking tab located in BIOS with manual customization and selected 3000Mhz to 3600MHz settings step by step with correct 1.35v Plus 18, 22, 22, 42, 64 but when I applied these... the system rebooted 3 times and said:
"Make sure you have qualified XMP supported memory"
But I have 3600MHz sticks installed with XMP supported, and it's not even achieving its base speed, why do I further overclock it..
Then, tried to put some relaxed timings for 3600MHz 20, 24, 24, 44 with 1.37v..... but same again, it reverted to 2400MT/s after rebooting 3 times.
CPU-Z does show it's running on JEDEC profile and not on XMP.
So, what do I do? How can I get that base speed back?
