RAM help please.

Hello.

Every time i start my computer up, and start to use stuff, e.g Internet, games and such my RAM builds and gets higher and higher and when i close the applications it doesn't go down, it stays extremely high. (4GB Ram atm)

I will have 0 applications open (i checked via task manager) and it will still stay high, can someone help me fix this? please

As DRAM is used it holds info in there until it needs more room to work, that way it can re access that data quicker than going back to the harddrive or the web and pull it back again

not really much help..

I've tried replacing my RAM chips, did nothing.. not sure what else to do..

The DRAM will empty what it's holding as it needs more, not a big deal

so what should i do?.. if my ram isn't going down when nothing is open, i usually have to open task manager to make it stop for 2 minutes or reset my pc to fix it..

Just because it appears to be in use shouldn't matter, if you open and run other things it should clear itself as needed to accomplish other tasks

it appears and acts..... when it reaches like.. 90% i can't play or use anything..
