Can someone tell me if this G.SKILL PI+ Turbulence 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17066) Desktop Memory Model F3-17066CL7D-4GBPIS will work with what I currently have which is G.SKILL Trident + Turbulence 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17066) Desktop Memory Model F3-17066CL9D-4GBTDS? I want to add another 4 gigs but cant find my current ram for sale anywhere. My motherboard is a ASUS Maximus III Formula LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard. One other thing I can get that exact ram in a 2 gig, would that be my best route and just add 2 gigs?

That board only support dual channel, right? So, your current setup is just "fine" (2x2GB)...
8GB or RAM? what are you going to do with that all memory? 4GB is plenty.

To answer your question, yes, it should work just fine.

Tom's recent RAM article actually proves that having 8GB vs 4GB can be a tangible benefit. But to answer the question: as long as the specifications of the RAM are the same, it will work fine. You can even mix different brands (I use Samsung and Kingston together).
