Ram help

I tried to upgrade my ram. I had 4 512 sticks of ddr400 pc3200 in there. I took all of them out and put in two 1 gig sticks, and it ran fine. Now that i have two empty slots i decided to fill at least one up so i got a 1 gig and put it in and now the pc wont boot. I tried it in both slots tried updating the bios, tried running it at 333mhz instead and still wont boot. If i have just the two ! gigs in it boots fine. Plz help!!!

It may not boot with 3 sticks of anything. Check your board manual for memory configurations. I always add ram in pairs.

I also tried 3 1 gig sticks and a 512 but still no go.
