Ram in B1 slot

Hi. So I recently built a computer(ryzen 3 1200, gtx 1050 ti, 8gb ddr4 ram, asus a320m-k mobo).
But the cpu cooler(stock amd cooler) blocked the ram slot named A1. So I had to put the single channel ram into slot B1. But my pc won't post. Even the cpu cooler is not spinning for some reason. I just wanted to know if this is because I placed the ram in slot B1. My mobo has only 2 ram slots by the way.

Thanks

If you remove the single module and start the system, does the CPU fan spin?

RAM not being recognized shouldn't stop signs of life.

Utilizing B1 over A1 shouldn't cause any (major) issues - although Ryzen definitely benefits from dual-channel vs single-channel operation, alongside higher speed memory.

Realistically, both DIMM slots should be available to you? Unless you've mounted the cooler with the "AMD" jut-out facing your DIMM slots. If that's the case, just rotate it....

I took out the ram and tried turning it on but still the fan won't spin. Then I took out the heatsink and changed the alignment so that I could get access to slot A1 and inserted the ram there. Then I got a post and connected the pc to a monitor. Finally, hdmi signal came but I came to a page called American Megatrends. In the bottom it was saying
"CPU FAN ERROR" and the fan was still not spinning. What should I do now ?
