I have a GA-X99-UD3 motherboard and I am trying to install new ram which the model number is CMK32GX4M2B3000C15. When I install it the PC starts up and within 10 seconds it shuts off and does that continuously. I can't get into the BIOS or anything. I have tried resetting the CMOS twice and I have tried every slot pattern. My old ram which is what I had before still works which is the G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 Series 8GB 2x4GB. My BIOS version is f4 if that helps but I can't figure out the root of the problem.

The ram is listed as compatible according to the list of supported ram given by Gigabyte so I'm not sure what may be causing the issue. Can anyone help?

I suspect that a motherboard BIOS update (to the most recent version) may help you. Memory compatibility is often one of the things addressed with such updates, including for your motherboard. You'll need to perform the update with your original memory and then so the swap (hopefully) after successfully updating.
