I just built a new computer and for some reason the ram in my previous machine will not work with my new one and when i try to use it, the new computer gets stuck in a reboot loop or hangs on the windows loading screen anyone know why?

old specs:
core i3 2120
8gb crucial 1333 (2x4gb)
asrock h61m-dgs
msi radeon r7 250

New specs:
amd fx-8320
(same ram)
gigabyte ga970-ud3p
sapphire r9 280

i havent done alot of looking but the bios detects it. any suggestions on what to change?

How do you know it's the RAM what cause the problem? Have you tried another RAM module that works with your new computer? Can you write specific memory model? (example: BLS8G3D1609DS1S00)

So one stick works, and other doesnt? Or both sticks work when you put them each of them alone? Are the RAM's module matched pair? (Are they bought as a kit of 2x4GB in same packet) or there were bought as two single modules? Unpaired matches can cause this problems, also, when you find a model number, go search for it's default settings (speed, timing, and voltage) and make it same in BIOS...Also, try to replace position of those two RAMs, it mgiht that motherboard have defect RAM slot...but thats unlikely...test things and let us know how it was

only one of the two sticks in the kit works but i will try it ty.
