Hello!

I recently built a new computer and once completed I intiated the power button and everything went fine. I got into the BIOS and let it sit for 10 minutes, I then initiated the restart button once out of the BIOS and the computer began to restart every 10 seconds on its own.

I began to troubleshoot the issue and it seems as though the first attempt may have done the trick. I removed one stick of ram (now the only populated slot is slot 1) and arrived at the post screen and then entered the BIOS.

So, I then replaced the RAM back into the proper slot (slot 3) and now everything seems to stable.

Any suggestions as to wat the issue may have been?

My specs are as follows:

Case: Silverstone TJ10
MOBO: Gigabyte p67a UD7 B3
CPU: Intel i7 2600K
RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey Edition 8GB (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX)
GPU: HIS 6850
PSU: Seasonic X750

Solution
Gigabyte specs either 1&3 or 2&4 slots for the memory, without stating a preference for either. The OP has installed the memory correctly.
