Hi guyz

I am facing this problem from 1 month.Tried every trick but nothing worked.I have a core 2 quad q6600 cpu and inno3d gtx 650 with 4gb ram(2x2gb dual channel ram).First problem is that my pc was showing 3.75gb ram 1 month before.
Since i added a gtx 650 card into my PCI e lane.Ram was restricted to 2.75 gb.I thought i t was the problem of 32 bit os.
Then i installed 64 bit window 7 ultimate but the problem was not solved.
So i removed the GPu and still it was showing 2.75 gb ram.In past i had 3.75 gb ram available without gpu and now when i removed the gpu,Ram didnt increased.
While in bios it shows 4gb full and i also changed the vram of onboard(which is useless now due to gpu) to 128 mb
but there was no effect.

Hope u reply asap😀

Second problem is that i think my pc is facing low power issue
my rig is
inno 3d Gtx 650
q6600 core 2 quad 2.4 8mb cache
4gb ram
ez965 board with g965 chipset
but my powersupply is only 250 watt with 32 amp
but could be the possible problems for my cpu and gpu cox it works slowly.
can i add second powersupply!

Windows allocates certain amounts of RAM to system use. Even if your system can not use that RAM, it is still reserved and unusable.

Yes you surely need a better PSU... And fast, if you stress that PSU too long it may go violently, taking a component(GPU or MOBO) with it to electronics heaven.

thanks for replying my friend but when i put only one stick onto mobo of 2gb.It shows 2gb fully in the my computer options but when i put w sticks (4gb) it shows 2.75gb only :S

how can i get back my restricted ram. When i was usin 32 bit win 7 os without gpu .my ram was 3.75..AFter GPu installation it was reduced to 2.75 gb and then i installed 64 bit os but no gain.THen again i removed the gpu but no gain!

cox I am thinking to buy a new 500 w psu.So till i am thinking i want to use my pc at max performance at no risk 😀

One thing i want to ask is that,I know my psu is very low to support my system but still does it affects the performance of pc.I mean if u buy a new 500 watt psu.It would increase pc's performance or not?

Yes it will, since your GPU is underpowered.

hello there, have you try to flash the bios to the latest version?? i had an issue with my laptop " Acer travelmate 5730 " i upgrated it to 4gb ram with windows 7 64-bit and it used only 2.73gb . i had try everything, but still the same, till i flash bios... now my 4gb ram is fully usefull 😀
