RAM Memory, Kabylake

So I was surfing the web searching for RAM for my first PC build; I am going to pick up 16 gb of ram fromd Hyper X. I saw in a post that it's only compatible with Skylake and not Kabylake (I'm going to use a i5 7600k) Is this true?

I'm not sure about the 288 pin, but yes, it's DDR4.

The motherboard is the Asus Prime Z270-A
