RAM + Mobo compatibility?

Hey guys so I' m still having some troubles with this first build haha, think i should have just bought one from PC specialist.
So I've got an Asus Maximus VI Hero Mobo and i am thinking about buying Corsair Vengeance LP Memory 16GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 RAM. Would these be compatible?
(People have been telling me that compatibility isn't that big of a thing, but at the moment it's the only issue i've come accross, and it's turning out to be a real bitch, haha)

Hi, sorry just one more thing before I go ahead and buy the RAM.
I am going to get the Corsair Vengeance LP Memory 16GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 RAM, but should I get this RAM in 2 x 8GB or 4x4GB sticks?? Again thank you in advance. 😀

Either way will work, choose what is cheaper. Although it is better to get 2X8GB so maybe in the future you will need 32GB of RAM if you do some rendering or streaming, that way it will be easier, because you will need just 2 more stick of 8GB, instead removing all 4x4GB.
