Question RAM/Motherboard compatiblity ?

with
ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus

any idea why these to supposedly compatible items are not working to full speed?
the ram will only run at 2666, if I try setting XMP the boot hangs so and I have to boot into BIOS safe mode and turn XMP off ?

What BIOS version are you currently on for your motherboard? As for your platform, what processor are you working with? Have you tried manually inputting the frequency and voltage in BIOS to see if the system POST's and gets to IS GUI with relaxed/Auto timings? Which slots are you populating the ram kit on the motherboard?

Latest Bios, Intel Core i7-11700K, first slots in duel channel mode. Have tried things manually no dice. System works well at 2666 Mhz.
