Recently upgraded my PC and bought all new parts. Relevant parts:
Due to the issue, Speccy doesn't ID the ram which is: RAM: 2x8GB T Force DARK DDR4 3000Mhz
I place the RAM into slots A2 and B2 per the manual that came with the mobo. Only the one stick in slot B2 registers in the BIOS or system as a present and even states 8.00GB Single-Channel Unknown @ 1066MHz (15-15-15-36) despite the stick being 3000Mhz (16-18-18-38).
If I have the RAM in any other configuration the system fails to boot and it appears only one of the sticks seems to register even in slot B2 with it failing to boot if I switch them. So a few questions come up, is it a RAM issue, CPU, or Motherboard? Can I fix it without replacing any parts? As it is, however, I can boot on that one stick of RAM and even play games so I feel it is not likely a CPU issue and at worst may be a localized motherboard issue. Please help me out, I want to try out some new games!
I should note that I have attempted to clear the CMOS via the jumpers and removing the battery but these didn't seem to help. Though I did notice that the BIOS clock and boot order didn't change not sure if they should of if I did that, so maybe I didn't do it correctly? I have also updated the BIOS as well.
