Hi,
I have a ECS G41T R3 Motherboard. Its a HCL mobo. Now, it already had 1GB DDR3 1333mhz ram. So i bought another 4 GB ram. The ram specs are as follows. Transcend JM1333KLH-4G 4 GB 133Mhz DDR3 ram (1R/512Mx8/CL9). According to the motherboards website the motherboard supports upto 8 GB ram on 2 slots. But when i put the 4 GB ram alone, the computer wont boot, and with the 1 GB ram the bios and windows wont recognize the ram. Now the interesting part : The ram shows up on CPU Z memory (total : 5 Gb) and SPD in slot two. It is definitely not the socket problem or the ram not seated properly. Please help as i spent my money and i got nothing....Thanks in advance..

No the ram does not have chips on both side. I now have win 32 but before had 64 bit and checked it out. But the same problem. And I am on the latest bios. Also i checked the ram on both slots. The 1 GB ram works on both slots so the socket is not faulty.

Yeah maybe. But can i get a replacement from transcend. Actually the 4 Gb ram i bought is jetram. Will they give replacement of normal ram for the jetram ?
