BIOS & Windows detect 4GB of RAM, CPU-Z detects 8, there's 12GB inside

Hi,
As explained in the title inside my ASUS x456uv Windows x64 I have an integrated 4GB RAM and a slot in which there is 8GB.
Windows and even the BIOS only detect that 4GB, I can add or remove the 8GB it changes nothing at all.
However, CPU-Z only detects the 8GB one!
I don't know when it started doing that but the computer came with the 12GB installed. I bought a new 8gb ram stick and tried the same procedures, same result.

I just updated my BIOS, didn't help.
I have an integrated Intel GPU and a 920m Nvidia one so I tried disabling the integrated one, no luck.
The maximum memory is 12GB for this computer as it came with that and it's not set to 4gb in the boot menu.

It's similar to many problems seen on the forums but I couldn't find any solution that worked for me, so any help would be appreciated!
