Ok this is weird. I checked and CPU Z detects both sticks, says 16gb in dual channel. When In startup, says dual channel also but only detects 8gb, bios also sees both sticks and both slots populated but memory size still only says 8gb. I’ve switched up slots and reseated the cpu and nothing seems to work. I can boot fine with 1 stick alone or with both but not with just the other. I’m inclined to say it’s just a bad stick but I don’t understand why cpu z detects it.

specs are msi x299 gaming pro carbon ac

9920x

16gb trident z neo 3600 (probably the culprit)

cpu-z shows anything connected
bios is lockin one of your ram as its not stable to run both
can u try A2 + B2 slots?
I’ve tried all pairings of slots possible I’m pretty sure. And like I said, I can run one of them alone, but not the other, which is why I’m inclined to say it’s just a bad stick
